Electricity Rates Down in August

Jakarta -Two dozen groups that follow the electricity tariff mechanism Tariff Adjustment (TA) decreased in August 2016. The strengthening of the rupiah against the US dollar (US) is one indicator of the decline in electricity rates.
The fall in oil prices (Indonesian Crude Oil Price / ICP) participated widen the difference in tariff reduction.
The rupiah against the US dollar in June 2016 rose by Rp 64.6 from the previous (May 2016) amounted to USD 13419.65 / US $ to US $ 13355.05 / US $. ICP in June 2016 fell US $ 0.18 / barrel, from the previous (May 2016) amounted to US $ 44.68 / barrel (May 2016) to US $ 44.50 / barrel. Meanwhile, inflation in June 2016 increased by 0.42%, from the previous (May 2016) of 0.24% to 0.66%.
Electricity Tariff Adjustment (TTL) is in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister (Candy) Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) No. 31/2014, as amended by ESDM No. 09/2015.
This candy stated that the adjustment imposed every month, adjust the changes in the exchange rate against the dollar, oil prices and the monthly inflation. With TA mechanism, electricity tariff every month it is possible to go down, fixed or increased based on changes in these three indicators.
As a result of changes in the value of these three indicators, electricity rates in August 2016 in Low Voltage (TR) to Rp 1410.12 / kWh, electricity rates in Medium Voltage (TM) to Rp 1084.66 / kWh, electricity rates in High Voltage (TT ) to Rp 971.01 / kWh, and electricity in dedicated service to Rp 1593.78 / kWh.
As previously known, Rates Electric Power (TTL) consists of 37 class fare. Twelve groups TA mechanism applied rates are rates that are not subsidized by the government. The twelve groups such rates are as follows:
